Before arriving to Prague we recommend you to download a few taxi apps as the “local” airport taxi can be a quite expensive experience (fixed price on 700 kc) from the airport to the center. If you stop at taxi on the street they will often just tell you 500 kc – wherever you want to go.

Václav Havel Airport Prague
Non EU flights
You will arrive at Terminal 1 – If you order a taxi, go out on the ground floor to the parking lot and meet the taxi on the lane most far away from the Terminal 1.

EU flights
Arrives at Terminal 2 – If you order a taxi – In the app type “Terminal 2 Departure” .
Go to the first floor to meet the taxi at the departure entrance, as on the ground floor only the “local” airport taxis are allowed.

Be aware of the taxis can be in the pickup area max. 15 min.

Bus, Trams & Metro tickets
If you decide to take public transport from the Airport. You will take the Bus 119 from the ground floor at Terminal 2, to the Green metro line A (the end bus station/Nádraží Veleslavín) and from there the metro line A will take you to the center eg. Muzeum station.

General information about tickets.
You have to buy the tickets before entering the public transport. Find a ticket machine (most accept VISA cards) and remember to stamp the ticket when entering the public transport.
Tickets are valid in all transport types.
